ERP is quoted by module rather than as one figure, because a full system quoted upfront is both a large number and a large risk. You approve each phase separately and each one is fixed-scope and fixed-price.

Excel is genuinely good at what it does, and businesses run on it far longer than software vendors like to admit. The point at which it stops working is specific: when several people need to edit the same figures, when a number has to be right in more than one place at once, or when nobody can reconstruct who changed a cell. If you are reconciling versions of the same file or discovering that two departments hold different totals, that is the signal. Before that, ERP is expense without return.

No, and we recommend against it. We start with the module carrying the most operational pain — usually inventory or sales — get it live and earning its cost, then extend. Phased delivery means a smaller cheque, a shorter time to first value, and a much lower chance of the classic ERP failure where an eighteen-month project is abandoned before anyone uses it.

Yes. Multi-branch and multi-company structures are a normal ERP requirement — separate operating records with consolidated reporting for the owner. It needs to be specified during discovery rather than added later, because it affects how the data model is built from the start.

The work that actually takes time is cleaning it — duplicate entries, inconsistent naming and missing balances — so we treat that as an explicit scoped task rather than assuming the export will be clean.
