Business Automation — frequently asked.

It depends entirely on the process, which is why we scope before quoting. Larger automation projects are priced from the published Custom Application tier at ৳1,20,000, but a single well-defined automation — one report, one integration, one notification chain — can be considerably less. We quote the specific process after the discovery call.

The test is frequency multiplied by manual time, filtered by how stable the process is. Something done daily that takes twenty minutes and has not changed in a year is an excellent candidate. Something done monthly that takes an hour but changes every time is a poor one — you will spend more maintaining the automation than the work costs. We look for the first category during the audit and say so when a process is not worth automating.

That is your decision, not an outcome we build toward, and in practice it is rarely what happens with SMEs. What we usually see is the same team handling more volume without hiring — the admin hours get redirected to work that needs judgement. If your intent is headcount reduction, that should be explicit in scoping, because it changes what needs to be automated.

Where those systems expose an API or a usable export, yes — that is a large share of automation work. Where a system is genuinely closed with no integration path, the honest answer is that the automation may not be buildable reliably, and we will tell you that during discovery rather than after taking a deposit.

We build automations so the rules can be changed without a rewrite, and we document them. Processes do change, and an automation nobody can modify becomes an obstacle within a year. Where a process is likely to change often, we say so and make configurability part of the scope.

We agree the measure before building — usually hours of manual work removed per week, or error rate on a specific step. Defining it upfront matters because it also disciplines the scope: if we cannot articulate what improves, that is a signal the automation is not worth building.
