Which processes are worth automating first?

The test is frequency multiplied by manual time, filtered by how stable the process is. Something done daily that takes twenty minutes and has not changed in a year is an excellent candidate. Something done monthly that takes an hour but changes every time is a poor one — you will spend more maintaining the automation than the work costs. We look for the first category during the audit and say so when a process is not worth automating.

That is your decision, not an outcome we build toward, and in practice it is rarely what happens with SMEs. What we usually see is the same team handling more volume without hiring — the admin hours get redirected to work that needs judgement. If your intent is headcount reduction, that should be explicit in scoping, because it changes what needs to be automated.

Where those systems expose an API or a usable export, yes — that is a large share of automation work. Where a system is genuinely closed with no integration path, the honest answer is that the automation may not be buildable reliably, and we will tell you that during discovery rather than after taking a deposit.
